Christmas kittens

Handmade card with kittens, hand-colored with alcohol markers. The wish is: Have yourself a Merry little Christmas.

How to

First I cut by hand the cream-colored paper to create the card. Then, I cut a smaller rectangle by hand where I applied the inks to create the sky. I started applying the Candied apple ink for half of the rectangle, then on the top I started applying the Tumbled glass ink, then starting to mix both inks. Finally, I used a brush to sprinkle with white ink to make the starry sky effect.

Next, I cut two small hills with the die cut in white, gluing it with vinavil.

In the meantime, I printed the kittens, gifts and the candy stick cane, using the clear stamps of Mama elephant. Once printed, I started coloring them with alcohol markers, trying to obtain shaded effects.

Once the molds were colored, I cut them with the matching cutting dies.

Then I printed the wish from the Marianne design clear stamps set applying it with the embossing pad and then using white embossing powder and an embossing gun.

In the final stage I assembled the card putting the kittens and the gifts and candies using the 3d foam tape on the kittens, gluing the two gifts on the back together with the candies and putting in pop-up the small gifts.

I completed the postcard with a round stamp on the back saying “Handmade with ”.
